With rising crude prices and a depreciating rupee, petroleum is bound to get more expensive , diesel has already reached it’s all time high and petrol to at ₹76.24 per liter in Delhi,hit a new high on Sunday,breaking its sept 2013 record.

Over 50% of petrol retail price constitutes taxes and dealer commission. For diesel the corresponding figure is over 40%. Taxes vary in different states and hence their are variation in retail prices.
